How it works

From goals to pay, with an audit trail

  1. 1

    Goals and coaching

Agreed goals, progress updates, evidence and coaching sessions. Once a goal is agreed, its levels and target date change only through a formal amendment, and progress notes are added, never edited.

  2. 2

    Review cycles

Self-assessment, manager and other raters, then employee acknowledgement. When a cycle starts, its scale and review documents are locked, and anyone who leaves is flagged rather than removed.

  3. 3

    Calibration

A committee moderates the outcomes in a calibration session. What the manager captured stays beside the calibrated figure; it is never overwritten.

  4. 4

    Increase rounds

A setup wizard takes you through the population, the pay components and mandate bands for each one, currencies and approvals. An increase outside its band is flagged, not hidden.

  5. 5

    Multi-level approvals

Increases are approved by business unit, at each level of authority, and every approval is recorded.

  6. 6

    Increase letters, then export

When the round closes, increase letters are produced for each employee to acknowledge, and the results export to your HR system.

    Privacy built in

Salary totals for small groups are hidden, because a small group's total is individual pay by another name. Every salary view is logged, and line managers never see the totals.

Beanstalk People salary totals with small groups suppressed, every read audited, and a request-to-view route
