Run your bursary scheme from application to payment
Bean Sprouts runs an employer-funded bursary scheme end to end: programme and budget, applications, document checks, approval and award, and payment records. For employees and their family members, and for the HR, bursary and finance teams who run it.

From programme rules to payment
- 1
Your rules
Each programme sets who can apply, benefit tiers by grade and the documents required. Once a programme opens, its rules are locked; changes are made in a draft.

- 2
Employee self-service
Employees apply for themselves or a dependant, save drafts and come back later. Nothing is submitted until they review it and press submit.

- 3
Documents checked by a person
A verifier checks each required document and records the reason for any rejection. Eligibility is checked against the employee's HR data, frozen at the moment they submitted.

- 4
Two people per award, and budget control
One person can't both verify and approve. No award can be approved without budget to cover it, and every check, decision and payment record is kept.

- 5
Award letters from your own template
Letters are built from your own template. Only the applicant, programme and award fields can be merged in.

- 6
Payment records
Finance records each payment against the institution's invoice, with proof of payment. Sprouts holds no banking details; the payment itself is made in your finance system.

- 7
Work-back agreements tracked
If someone leaves inside their work-back period, Sprouts flags what may be recoverable and exports it to payroll. It never deducts anything itself.
